Campervan for sale for $4000 NZ, free delivery from CHCH to Auckland

Share |
We are looking to sell a nice vehicle well-suited to campervanning. We used this vehicle for campervanning as well as mountain biking. Its a really good vehicle for these purposes because:
1. Short wheel base
2. Handles really well
3. Good size for camper and off-road
4. Not a conspicuous camper
5. Its a relatively new model (2001) - with low 145,000kms
6. Hanging points - you can easily fit the vehicle out - we will tell you where to go.

This vehicle has around 145,000kms at present; its a manual 5-transmission, it goes really well mechanically. It has a lot of rust in the 'hood' over the drivers compartment. This is not a problem for obtaining the warranty of fitness because it is classed as an accessory which can be removed. WOF scheduled 8/22/2012. The car is almost due for new tyres, and that will be about $380-400, so we have discounted it as much.

I am travelling to Asia in the next few days so I am looking to sell this Holden Combo. Its currently at Christchurch, however I intend to move some homeware to my house on the North Island. Ultimately we will likely fly out of Auckland Airport, however we have still to book flights.
Anyone flying into Christchurch or Auckland looking for a campervan could not be happier than with this vehicle for several reasons. It is not as conspicuous as a camper - because it's a delivery van. Its a 1600cc engine, so low petrol consumption. Its short wheel base makes it suitable for off-road use. i.e. We take it off-road for MTB trails. The vehicle comes with a roof-rack as well.
We are looking for $4000 for the vehicle, or $4500 with new tyres (negotiable). If we cannot sell the vehicle we will look at selling it through Turners. We would however prefer to give a discount to a direct buyer than a commission to Turners. We can deliver the vehicle to a person at Queenstown or Auckland airport. Auckland is preferred, as we need to take our bikes to the North Island. Email us at shouganai1 at gmail.com.

or Call 027 916 0128 (NZ) camper van for sale

I'll deliver from Christchurch up to Auckland. Let me know.

Home stay in New Zealand

Share |
One of the cheapest ways to travel around a country is by home stay. Home stay is popular for older people, couples, students, and most particularly girls, because there is some assurance of having a host to provide support. Most backpackers offer similar support, however a host offers a more homely experience, though in all probability, not the professionalism, and perhaps not all the services. You will in most respects get better services in terms of furnishings, bedding, and many hosts offer food and travel. You might find yourself becoming a member of a family.
Another benefit for guests is that you are able to ensure that the person has police clearances. Any person who reports bad service is likely to see a bad host stricken from their membership base, offering some assurance to you. I would advise anyone who wants to make payment to pay via Paypal because at least you have some recourse if they don't provide the service you require. It is common to pay a deposit before you arrive, say of $200, and then the balance upon arrival.
Personally, home stays do not always work out because there are many people who are looking for extra income. The problem is often in the form of:
1. Differing standards of cleanliness
2. Different expectations in terms of services offered, i.e. You might have expected your own bathroom, greater privacy, you might not have expected any men to be there. You might have expected wifi internet, or access to a computer.
3. Differences in terms of food style or preparation, i.e. If you host is offering food, you want to inquire as to the types of food they eat (i.e. fatty foods, takeaway or vegetarian), and whether you will be able to prepared your own.
4. Isolation from transport, i.e. You might have expected the location to be close to transport, and you might have expected more transport.

In order to avoid these problems it might be preferable if you have a trial night, but this is not always possible. It is better to simply ask questions.

Short term accommodation in Auckland

Share |
If you are flying to Auckland, New Zealand, then you will want a place to stay when you get here. If you are looking for a place to stay prior to boarding a flight, or before you seek accommodation, I recommend Proximity Apartments in Manukau City for several reasons:
1. You get a fully-furnished modern apartment for around $100/night - good for two people
2. There is plenty of after-hours parking around the building
3. You have an easy commute from the airport - its about 15 mins away, and its fairly close to the railway into the city
4. It adjoins the Westfield mall at Manukau City
5. The apartments have an after-hours service so you can check in late, or leave early.
6. There are a variety of restaurants and shops in the mall and in the vicinity. There are several nice restaurant/bars, or even a Wendy's and McDonalds outside of the mall.

Staying in Wellington

Share |
We have just come back from Wellington. We don't know it very well, but we are pretty happy with our stay. Previously I have stayed at the YMCA, which used to cost $40-50/night, though apparently prices have risen to around $85/night, so you might want to consider other options. If you are looking at a city hotel don't forget to ask about carparking costs. I don't like driving through the city because I am still driving on my Australian drivers license, which means I have to pay twice as much excess, plus my van has no rear view so there are a lot of blind spots, so I avoid busy areas.
For this reason we stayed at the Petone Homestay. This is a bed & breakfast on the north side of Wellington Harbour. It cost $90/night, and there is street parking out front if you arrive early or late, otherwise we just moved our car outside the next morning. This place is well located because its just 30mins into the city, and its not a bad urban area. The Bed & Breakfast is just 2 rooms which they usually rent as one. Its just 30m from the main street and bus. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in the area. I recommend Yolsi Indian Restaurant. I have not had Indian food & service like that since I ate at the Gaylord Indian Restaurant in Bombay (Mumbai). That is in the main street (Jackson Street), between Elizabeth & Bruik Streets. There was internet cafe there, and free wifi (if its working) at a Turkish restaurant going towards the city. The library is hidden in the area too, and that offers internet access as well, but only in standard business hours. The internet service is not great in the area.
Petone Homestay was good service. It is fully fitted out for all your needs, eg. Microwave, refrigerator, 2 beds, ironing board, TV, working table, etc. The interior design is a little weird....missing only the shrunken heads from Peru, but it was very cozy and good value. There is a shopping centre in the area, McDonalds, banks. It was easy to find as there is an exit off the Wellington to Upper Hutt Motorway, and that brings you out onto Jackson St, and then its easy to find Elizabeth Street. You need to make advanced bookings on tel: 64-4-9700299, ask for Ron or Colleen.

Japan Foreclosed Property 2015-2016 - Buy this 5th edition report!

Over the years, this ebook has been enhanced with additional research to offer a comprehensive appraisal of the Japanese foreclosed property market, as well as offering economic and industry analysis. The author travels to Japan regularly to keep abreast of the local market conditions, and has purchased several foreclosed properties, as well as bidding on others. Japan is one of the few markets offering high-yielding property investment opportunities. Contrary to the 'rural depopulation' scepticism, the urban centres are growing, and they have always been a magnet for expatriates in Asia. Japan is a place where expats, investors (big or small) can make highly profitable real estate investments. Japan is a large market, with a plethora of cheap properties up for tender by the courts. Few other Western nations offer such cheap property so close to major infrastructure. Japan is unique in this respect, and it offers such a different life experience, which also makes it special. There is a plethora of property is depopulating rural areas, however there are fortnightly tenders offering plenty of property in Japan's cities as well. I bought a dormitory 1hr from Tokyo for just $US30,000.
You can view foreclosed properties listed for as little as $US10,000 in Japan thanks to depopulation and a culture that is geared towards working for the state. I bought foreclosed properties in Japan and now I reveal all in our expanded 350+page report. The information you need to know, strategies to apply, where to get help, and the tools to use. We even help you avoid the tsunami and nuclear risks since I was a geologist/mining finance analyst in a past life. Check out the "feedback" in our blog for stories of success by customers of our previous reports.
